A tribute to sisters Lucia and Chrystalleni Trikomiti

Monday evening. The Chrystalleni has just returned from international matches played in Belgium. The scores for once was too high. But not complacent. It is not the character ofthe games Here in Israel in December and January in London. The latter are most important for Chrystalleni. They will consider whether to compete in the Olympics next summer. This is keen. The dream of every athlete engaged in competitive sport. Andhere let us note that Chrystalleni finally chosen and will go to the Olympics!

The Chrystalleni, moreover, is fully committed to the goal. Everyday is melting - literally -in training. Seven to eight hours a day. Common mountains from the snow. So manyyears, celebrations, holidays, summers had passed to the gym.

Personally, I admire their courage, grow now six children and kept in the arenas of lifeand sports. Sotos is a successful businessman, sole agent of Suzuki in Cyprus and  his wife Evangelia, is not behind, as they say, but together, participating actively intheir successes.

In Sotos and Evangelia we met in 1994 and since then we keep unchanged and stablefriendship, which is based on mutual respect and honest friendly feelings.


But today is a tribute to the bright, golden their daughters, which, by encouraging andsupporting them, were involved from their childhood in sports and gymnastics. Uponsetting foot in the gym was a big part of their lives. It is the endless hours of hard and methodical training for preparation.

Lucia and Chrystalleni Trikomiti seems to have inherited the genes of their love forsports, other family members.

Grandfather Andrew Trikomitis engaged in racing, and wrestling. So their father Sotoswho deals regularly with the rally. Their mother Evangelia, who loves the gym, an early engaged in the gymnastics. Evangelia was envisioned their sports course and urged them to engage in the sport of gymnastics.

Lucia was born on 7.9.90 and was the first that opened the way to starting the sport at the age of just five years. The Chrystalleni born on 30.11.1993 modeled her sister, beganfour years the same way. Instead of children's parks, went together in gyms and sports arenas. The years passed full experience, knowledge, discrimination and successes tosucceed one another.

In the last Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE) held in Cyprus, the Tricomiti sisters succeeded exceptional victories, winning eight medals in various categories of rhythmic gymnastics.


But, it seems, is still at the beginning of the successful, their sporting course, since it isso young. Not just dealing with sports, but exercise and train hard, why do championship, which requires many personal sacrifices.
